Police Blotter

A running list of my favorites as published in the Homer Tribune and The Homer News:

Sept. 19, 2012

A woman at 11:45 a.m. came to the police station with unknown remains. Police confirmed the remains were from a sea otter.

Sept. 24, 2012

A caller at 4:49 p.m. reported seeing two bald eagles fighting on the ground at a Bartlett Street address.

Sept. 30, 2012

A caller reported a nude person sitting outside a residence on Hillview Place. (The forcast was sunny with a high of 47 this day. Since the weather is notoriously changing here, I think it could easily have reached the mid 50s that day, plenty warm enough for nude sun bathing no?)

I think taking photos will be better...just so you can see how ridiculous it is in print. Hysterical.

This next one is only funny because we just bought a pig from this woman. It's always nice to support local farmers, but I am still glad our pig was not the runaway.

I added the quotation marks because it really does sound like a euphemism for...well you know, but in Homer I bet he really was birdwatching. The birders are out in full force these days. Sand Hill Cranes en route any day now.

 Effing trash birds!

Forgot the date on these guys.
